Welfare of plain tribes & backward classes Project: Empowering Dropout students of BPL category through placement linked Skill Development Training Program

Welcome to the Welfare of plain tribes & backward classes Project, a transformative initiative under the Directorate of Welfare Plain Tribe and Backward Classes, Assam. Our mission is to empower unemployed youths by implementing placement linked skill development training programs that lead to meaningful employment opportunities. The project focuses on four distinct communities - Tai Ahom Council, Chutia Council, Kumar Council, and SC/ST communities - and offers training in various job roles to bridge the gap between education and employment.

Transforming Lives through Skill Development

The Welfare Plain Tribe Backward Classes Project is designed to equip unemployed youths with the necessary skills to excel in the workforce. We got the opportunities to involve with the following four categories based on the communities, we ensure that the training is tailored to meet the unique needs and aspirations of each group.

Tai Ahom Council:
  • General Duty Assistant (GDA)
  • Home Healthcare Aide (HHA)
  • Food & Beverage (F&B)

Chutia Council:

  • General Duty Assistant (GDA)
  • Home Healthcare Aide (HHA)

Kumar Council:

  • General Duty Assistant (GDA)
  • Home Healthcare Aide (HHA)
  • Food & Beverage (F&B)

SC/ST Communities:

  • General Duty Assistant (GDA)
  • Home Healthcare Aide (HHA)
  • Food & Beverage (F&B)
  • Room Attendant
  • Vision Technician
  • Front line Health Worker

The project's training duration is approximately three months, during which the trainees receive comprehensive instruction and hands-on experience in their chosen job roles

Sector Skill Council Certification

Upon successful completion of the training program, the trainees are awarded certifications by the Sector Skill Council. These certifications are recognized and valued by various industries, opening doors to a wide range of employment opportunities.

Placement Assistance

After acquiring the necessary skills and certifications, the trainees are placed in different organizations and industries based on their respective job roles. The Welfare of Plain Tribes & Backward classes Project ensures that the trainees' talents are matched with the right job opportunities, maximizing their chances of success and growth.
